Ordinary moisturiser does nothing for rough skin.

If your skin is flaking, tight or rough to the touch, the problem is not a shortage of water — it is a build-up of dead surface cells that water cannot get through. A standard lotion sits on top of that layer and absorbs into nothing.

Urea at 10% with lactic acid breaks the build-up down first, then holds moisture underneath it.

Why 10% urea is the number that matters

Urea

At 10% urea does two jobs — holds water in, and breaks down the dead-cell build-up that makes skin feel rough.

Lactic Acid

Loosens the bonds between dead surface cells so the urea can reach live skin.

Niacinamide

Blocks pigment moving up into surface skin cells, and strengthens the barrier so the stronger actives don't sting.

Ascorbyl Glucoside

A gentle vitamin C derivative for tone.
